Background

Kingsley Allotments were opened to the public in spring 2011. They are run by the Kingsley Allotment Association under an agreement with Kingsley Parish Council.

About:

The allotment site has 24 plots, a small car parking area, rabbit and deer proof fencing and a mains water supply. The site is situated in an open location within 300 metres of the centre of Kingsley.

Health and Safety:

Cultivating an allotment is a physical activity using a variety of tools. To help make the allotment site as safe and free from hazards as possible, allotment plot holders can report any accidents using the accident report form below. These will be reviewed by the Committee to identify whether remedial action can be taken.

Funding:

The allotments were set up under a project run by Kingsley Parish Council with financial support from several organisations.

The Big Lottery and Defra‚Äôs Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund between them provided more than three quarters of the funding.

Further funding came from East Hampshire District Council (Community Initiative Fund and Developers Contributions) and from Hampshire County Council (Community Challenge fund and the District Councillor).
